South Devon League Digital & Print Battle

Season 2015 to 2016

The South Devon League Battles are between Dawlish & Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Crediton and ourselves. We have two battles a season, the Print Battle in either November or December and the Digital Battle sometime in the spring. Each club enters 15 prints and 15 digital images for each of the competitions. We are not allowed more than 2 images from the same photographer.

Both sets of images for the Print and Digital sections are below.

Print Interclub Battle: Club entries for the Print Battle held on the 24 November 2015 were hosted by Newton Abbot- the judge was Peter Fry ARPS, DPAGB, BPE3* from Barnstaple Camera Club. . All entries are below with the marks given. The results were: Exmouoth 1st with 221 points, Dawlish & Teignmouth 2nd with 212, Crediton 3rd with 209 points and Newton Abbot 4th with 200 points. Digital Projected Battle: Evening was hosted by Exmouth on the 9 March 2016 and the results were: Exmouth 221 1st, Dawlish & Teignmouth 182, Newton Abbot 182, Joint 2nd Crediton 168 4th.

Exmouth won the Battle and was presented with the SDL Cup and the total results for both competitions are below.

Exmouth: PDI total 221, Print total 221 Overall Total 442 Position 1st
Dawlish and Teignmouth: PDI total 182, Print total 212 Overall Total 394 Position 2nd
Newton Abbot: PDI total 182, Print total 200 Overall Total 382 Position 3rd
Crediton: PDI total 168, Print total 209 Overall Total 377 Position 4th
