South Devon League Digital & Print Battle
Season 2014 to 2015
The South Devon League Battles are between Dawlish & Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Crediton and ourselves. We have two battles a season, the Print Battle in either November or December and the Digital Battle sometime in the spring. Each club enters 15 prints and 15 digital images for each of the competitions. We are not allowed more than 2 images from the same photographer.
Print Interclub Battle: Club entries for the Print Battle held on the 26 November 2014 were hosted by Dawlish and Teignmouth Camera Club - the judge was Rod Fry. All entries are below with the marks given and I am delighted to report that Exmouth came first, well done. Two of our images came second and third place as you will see below, well done Mo for second place and John W for third place. The results were: Exmouth 221 points, Dawlish and Teignmouth 191 points, Newton Abbot 183 points and Crediton 170 points.
Our Digital Projected evening held at Crediton went very well, we were awarded enough points to be the Overall Winner of the Competition. John Tilsley was the judge and he awarded the cup to Mo Martin being the representative for Exmouth Photo Group. We were also delighted that John Perriam got 2nd place for his Homeward Bound and Derrick Holliday had 3rd place for his image called The Look.
Over overall points for the competition were 352, Newton Abbot were second with 417, Dawlish & Teignmlouth were 3rd with 413 and Crediton scored 372. So a resounding win for Exmouth. Well done to all members who had their prints and digital images selected for the competition. Below are the Print and Digital entries with their points.
