The judge, John Tilsley, said our panel was very arresting and dynamic. He said the title says it all. He particularly liked the flush mounted prints and it was well presented. He liked its intensity. He then commented on each individual print. What he liked was the gritty feeling to each print, the treatment had brought out all the details on the paintwork and other parts of the images. We nearly made first position but he felt the steam one didn't have the same power. It was very, very close.

We will try again next year. So its a call to all you members, try and think of an idea, get into groups, produce an idea for a panel. We need ideas and participation.

Below a selection of photographs taken of all the print panels, but I have put at the front our Final Print Panel together with individual copies from this panel and our five digital images. If you wish to get some idea of what was shown on the day - panels only - then Dave took pictures of the panels in situ, not the easiest to do with people milling about. I would like to thank John Wickett for giving us the idea to process the images in HDR, they certainly brought out the detail in the images and made them very dramatic and powerful. Thank you John for doing the processing, by giving them to you for the final processing we could guarantee that all the images would have the same treatment thereby giving uniformity to the panel.
