We had an encouraging spread of awards again this month, and how lovely to see Norma not only winning the monochrome prints section but gaining the overall 1st place and the John Smith's Cup! Well done Norma, very well deserved. Congratulations Terry, nice to see you not only in the awards but with a 1st place! Trevor is fast establishing himself as "the one to beat" this season, with a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Highly Commended spread across all 3 sections. I'm sure you'll agree that sort of success doesn't come without a lot of hard work. I might just hand Trevor a box of award certificates and be done with it!

Our thanks must go to Tony Wilson, our judge for the evening, for his kind comments and entertaining remarks and quips. He did well on the clock too, finishing the evening with perfect timing. He had a tough job with so many excellent images covering a wide variety of styles and subjects. It's great to see interesting work that challenges "the norm" so please keep it up.

For those who didn't feature in the awards it was certainly no disgrace. I hope you 'll agree that the quality of prints and projected images was very high this month. Let's hope even more of us are encouraged and inspired to enter next month's competition.
